Phil Randazzo has a passion for helping military families succeed and has spent more than 15 years working hard at it. In 2003, Phil started American Dream U, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping our military get the education and access to resources they need to find their dream job or start a business of their own. Our programs are taught by some of the world’s best and most successful entrepreneurs and are designed specifically to provide soldiers, airmen, sailors, marines, and coast guard personnel and their families with the tools to obtain their American dreams when transitioning from active service military. Since its inception, ADU has helped more than 16,000 people and remains committed to providing services, inspiration and guidance each and every day.

Phil’s dedication extends to the literary space as well. He has authored three books to-date, including: “Mission Next,” an outline of more than 85 interviews with veterans who parlayed their military training into civilian success, “Funding Your Bigger Future,” an inspirational and education financial planning guide, and “Shark Talk,” a step-by-step guide for future entrepreneurs to succeed in the hot seat of pitching venture capitalists.

Phil is proud to be an American and displays his patriotism daily within both the Las Vegas community and at the national level. Phil has accepted an invitation from the White House to speak and testify in front of Congress, sharing his experience of the military transition and is actively involved locally serving on the Advisory Board for the YMCA of Southern Nevada and Mission America. In 2003 Phil was given the key to the City of Las Vegas, and was commissioned by Governor Sandoval as a member of the Veterans Services Commission. In support of continuing education, he teaches classes at UNLV Outreach on Financial Preparedness.

In pursuit of his own American Dream, Phil is a successful entrepreneur with breadth of experience across multiple industries. He has ownership in and direct management of Text Safe Teens, forty-four Subway Sandwich Stores, partnership interest in land development projects, and interest in Source Intelligence compliance firm and CapitalMD, a medical billing and financial company.

Phil attended Ball State University and received his MBA from University of Phoenix. He is supported by his wife of 25 years, Jennifer, along with their German Shepard, Gigi, and three children: Philip, Megan and Joey.

Nevada Benefits

From Becoming Available by Phil Randazzo

Your self-imposed prison is built from attachments and the delusion of time—freedom is built from awareness.

Scripted in a language we inherited, we carry unconscious thoughts and beliefs no one else can see; all others notice are our behaviors. Behind every face lives a secret life, hidden from others, and you are the only one who can tend to your own inner world. No two humans inhabit the same reality—only their perspective—so the question becomes: who is looking after yours?

The delusion of time convinces us that we should be further along, that others are ahead, or that we’re running out of time. This pressure holds us back from what’s possible and robs us of peace with what is. This is suffering. When the unconscious becomes conscious, it transforms into awareness—and awareness opens the door to integration and true freedom. You’ve been seeking relief, not a cure. Stop playing the victim and acting out, because it only deepens the exhaustion of being “tired of being tired.”

Stop postponing your happiness into the future. You came here for a reason. The real question is: have you been available? You are asleep, and part of you doesn’t want to wake up.
